Mile 391.6, US 19E
The video shows how my day went. I went to bed last night in windy and misty conditions. The wind kept me awake most of the night. I woke up in the same conditions and hiked in it most of the day. I estimate the wind at 70 MPH in some locations. It blew me over once and knocked me off the trail more times than I could count. At a few points I had to face the wind and lean into it and side step up a mountain. Between little sleep and fighting the wind, I was exhausted at the end of the day.
After a long stretch of hiking the NC/TN border, I believe I'll be hiking in TN from now until I reach the VA line.
It is supposed to be raining for the next 2-3 days. I was planning on a zero day on Monday but I'll go ahead and add Sunday to that. I'm in a B&B that has hiker rates so I will be warm a d dry for the next couple of days.
